Join the Party - Contribute to the Group Gift
There are lots of ways that you can be invited to contribute to a Group Gift! By the same token, anyone can share the gift invitation with others.
The more the merrier!
Importantly, once the occasion (delivery) date and time has passed, new contributions cannot be accepted. However, you can *always* purchase a gift card separately and add value (and messages) OR start a new group gift.
If you need more time, no problem! Ask the gift organizer to help. They can extend the date by logging into their account and accessing the Manage Group Gifts dashboard.
Q: What if the group contributed too much? Or, too little?
No worries! Regardless of whether you reached, exceeded or fell short of your goal, the recipient will receive a Home Depot Gift Card for the total value collected. #everyonewins
Q: Can the recipient see how much each person contributed?
Definitely not. Only the Organizer has visibility into contribution details.
Q: I'm concerned about timing -- can we extend the delivery date?

You're Invited!
Look out for invitations from any number of methods including email, Twitter, Facebook, or text message. Whether you contribute or not, you can easily invite others.
About Payments, Gift Goals and Timing
When the group gift is first set-up by the Organizer, a decision is made with regard to "gift goals" and suggested contributions. As a contributor, you'll be asked to conform to these guidelines.
Payments can undergo an approval process that can take up to 24 hours. We're sorry for any delays -- and appreciate your understanding! Once processed, the group gift landing page will be updated to reflect the value of your contribution.
Timing is essential, as the group gift will be closed to contributions shortly before the delivery date/time. If your contribution is pending at that time, it will not be applied (sorry!)
